Music For Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2012

As you already know, our choir will be doing the music for the Christmas Eve, 5:30 p.m. Mass.  We will be practising on Wednesday evening (December 19th) at 7:00 for those of you who can make it.  We will also be practising Sunday (December 23rd) after the 11:00 a.m. Mass starting at approximately 12:00 p.m.  We will meet at 4:15 p.m. on December 24th to get setup for Mass and run through a few songs.

Music For Sunday Dec. 16, 3rd Sunday In Advent

We'll be singing this coming Sunday, December 16th, the 3rd Sunday in Advent - also known as Gaudete Sunday or Pink Sunday.  The Latin word Gaudete means "Rejoice" and the readings for this Sunday reflect this.  To show this when lighting the Advent wreath at the beginning of Mass, Father will be lighting a pink candle.

We'll be having a practise Sunday morning (Dec. 16th) starting at the usual time at approximately 9:45 a.m.  For those of you that can make it, we'll have a brief practise tomorrow (December 12th) after the 1 h video preview of the series Catholicism in the Parish Hall starting at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the church.

June 17, 2012 Update

Hi.  We still still be having our practise on Wednesday night, starting between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. - depending on when the parish barbecue ends.

The psalm for this Sunday is now online and can be accessed via this link - Psalm 91/92.  I will bring copies on Wednesday.

Speaking of barbecues, just a reminder that the Parish Volunteer barbeque starts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13.   If you haven't signed up for the barbecue yet, you can probably do so by talking to the Parish secretary.

Choir - Sunday June 17th

I'd thought I'd try using this to keep the choir informed of what is going on, practises (or lack thereof), etc.

We will be singing Sunday June 17th. We will not have a practise this week (June 6th) for sure, but tentatively we'll have one next week on June 13th at the church.
